DEBUTANT Syahmie Irfan Suhaimi has won praises for his courage in the Hockey World Cup.

The 20-year-old came in as a replacement for injured Shahril Saabah in the final Group C game against New Zealand, in which they won 3-2 and also against Spain in the crossover match at the Kalinga Stadium on Sunday.
