PETALING JAYA: South Korea’s Choi Hye-jin showed poise under pressure and in punishing heat as she stretched her lead to five strokes at the halfway mark of the Maybank Championship yesterday.

Despite opening with a bogey on the first hole, the 26-year-old recovered superbly, reeling off a string of birdies to post a six-under 66 and move to 14-under 130 at the Kuala Lumpur Golf and Country Club.
