PETALING JAYA: National golfer Ng Jing Xuen emerged as a top contender after the first day of the Maybank Championship Asean Qualifier at Kuala Lumpur Golf & Country Club (KLGCC) yesterday.

The 16-year-old delivered an impressive performance, carding a two-under 70, which places her in third position among the 35-player field.
