THE announcement this week that Maybank will partner with the LPGA Tour to inaugurate an event in Kuala Lumpur in October was welcomed by a wide cross-section of stakeholders in the local golf industry and beyond.
A major component of the European Tour for almost a decade and a half before the Covid pandemic brought a swift end to their involvement, Malaysia’s biggest bank in terms of assets will debut the Maybank Championship at Kuala Lumpur Golf and Country Club from Oct 26 to 29.
