AMBITION and confidence are prerequisites of success. And Khavish Varman Varadan, Malaysia’s top ranked player in the men’s World Amateur Golf Rankings (WAGR), has loads of both.

The Kuala Lumpur-born 21-year-old is at University of Alabama Birmingham, where he recently won the Graeme McDowell Invitational to consolidate his position as the country’s leading player in the rankings.
