PETALING JAYA: Venezuelan midfielder Yohandry Orozco respects Selangor’s decision to let him go.

The 34-year-old playmaker has confirmed that the club had not renewed his services for the 2025-2026 season.

Orozco, who is known for his flair, trickery, passing and pinpoint left-footed shooting, said he accepted the decision as part and parcel of the game.

“This is professional football.

‘‘Whatever decision that is made, however hard it is for us, we have to accept it. Throughout my career, I have moved around several clubs,” said Orozco, who once featured for Bundesliga club Wolfsburg.

“Selangor was home to me. The fans were amazing and the team were splendid too. There has been good and bad times over the last two years. I will treasure the good.

“And I will always be a huge Selangor fan.”

In the two years he represented the Red Giants, Orozco played 64 matches in all competitions, scoring 20 goals.

He helped them finish second in the Super League twice in a row and also won the Challenge Cup this season.

It is learnt that clubs from Indonesia, Thailand and the Middle East have expressed interest in Orozco.
