When legends clash - get set for a football spectacle as former stars compete for honours in Bukit Jalil


Football fans in Malaysia are in for an unforgettable spectacle as AllStar Sports returns to host the AllStar Legends in the heart of Kuala Lumpur.

Slated for October 3 at the TM National Stadium, Bukit Jalil, the friendly encounter will bring together some of football’s most iconic stars for a celebration of the game’s greatest moments.

Taking centre stage, the AllStar Premier Legends — made up of the most celebrated stars of the English Premier League, will go head-to-head with the AllStar World Legends, a dazzling lineup of global legends from the world’s biggest clubs. Together, they promise a high-energy, fan-focused exhibition match that brings football’s greatest moments back to life in Kuala Lumpur.

In attendance were AllStar Sports Project Director Steven Windsor, World Football Legends (WFL) Director Ian Holahan, alongside sponsors and media partners.

“Sports have always been a bridge that connects communities, and football holds a special place in our hearts. Events like this don’t just celebrate the players—they celebrate fans, whose passion and love for the game make football truly unforgettable. A football game also reminds us that even in a divided world, moments like these inspire harmony, mutual respect, and the hope for lasting peace,” remarked Windsor.

Steven Gerrard, the legendary English midfielder and former captain of Liverpool, highlighted the uniqueness of the AllStar Legends while expressing his excitement for the fans meet-and-greet session as well as the upcoming match. With preparations well underway, the team is

looking forward to delivering an engaging and outstanding game for supporters.

The organisers also echoed similar sentiments, adding that the event is expected to draw strong attendance and create a lively atmosphere, further reinforcing its position as a key highlight in the local sporting calendar.

“The AllStar Premier Legends and AllStar World Legends are two teams that truly capture the spirit of the game. Their energy, talent, and drive make them an ideal matchup, and fans can expect a thrilling and memorable encounter. Players unveiled for both teams include Jaap Stam, Eidur Gudjohsen, and Ian Harte representing the AllStar Premier Legends, while the AllStar World Legends will feature global stars such as Dida, Javier Saviola, and Maicon. Fans can look forward to witnessing a blend of legendary skills, unforgettable moments, and a truly star-studded lineup on the pitch.

The full players’ line-up alongside details for event tickets will be announced closer to the match date. Additionally, exclusive event merchandise will be available for purchase online, giving fans the opportunity to commemorate the occasion.
