Peter Cklamovski is new Harimau Malaya coach

PETALING JAYA: Peter Cklamovski will be assuming duties as the new Harimau Malaya coach on Jan 1, 2025.

The Australian was confirmed as the new tactician by the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) and he will take over the job from Pau Marti Vicente, who will leave after the AFF Cup.

Cklamovski, 46, will assemble a strong coaching team to ensure players attending Harimau Malaya training camps receive top-notch guidance, enhancing their skills for international matches.

His primary mission is to lead Harimau Malaya to dominate Group H of the 2027 Asian Cup Qualifiers and secure qualification for the tournament in Saudi Arabia.

Meanwhile, former Kedah and Terengganu coach Nafuzi Zain will take over the national Under-23 setup on the same date as Cklamovski.

FAM also plans to appoint a new chief executive officer (CEO) and an experienced medical team to support its restructuring.
