Sabah the first team to book a spot in the M’sia Cup quarter-final


PETALING JAYA: Sabah becomes the first side to book a spot in the Malaysia Cup quarter-final after beating Putrajaya Athletic 7-0 on aggregate in the round of 16.

In the second-leg, the Rhinos, led by interim coach Alto Linus, beat the A1 Semi-Pro League side 3-0 at the Cheras Football Stadium.

Goals were scored by striker Darren Lok (67th minute), midfielder Stuart Wilkin (77th) and Brazilian striker Joao Pedro (81st minute).

The first-leg score was 4-0. Sabah will take on either Kuching City or Penang in the quarter-final.
