PETALING JAYA: Bertrand Rhodict-Enrique Maccartney Harold had to be contented with a ninth place finish in the men’s 10m platform synchro final at the Diving World Cup in Montreal, Canada.
Bertrand-Enrique saw their hopes of a possible top six finish slipping out of their hands after they only scored 42.57 for their fifth dive on Sunday.
Bertrand-Enrique were lying in seventh spot after posting 54.00, 50.40, 67.50 and 74.88 before notching their lowest score of the day.
They finished the competition with 64.32 for a total of 353.67 points to place ninth in the field of 11 pairs.
Paris Olympic-bound diver Bertrand finished 10th out of 11 divers in the men’s 10m platform individual final on Saturday.
The Sarawak-born diver amassed 389.85 points after completing six rounds of dives in the event held at Parc Olympique.
Reigning world champions Yang Hao-Lian Junjie of China secured gold with 457.23 points with Mexican duo Kevin Berlin Reyes-Randal Willards Valdez taking silver with 428.97.
Britain’s pairing of Noah Williams-Tom Daley amassed 417.93 points to settle for bronze.
The Diving World Cup 2024 consisted of three stops.
After Montreal, it will move to Berlin from March 21-24 followed by the super final in Xian, China from April 19-21.
