Azizul shifts up a gear for sprint quarter-final battle

IT MAY not be his main event but Azizulhasni Awang is not going to hold anything back when he faces off against Japan’s Kanata Takahashi in the quarter-finals of the men’s individual sprint competition at Izu Velodrome today.

Azizul is the only Malaysian left as the men’s individual sprint moved to the business end of competition while Mohd Shah Firdaus Sahrom’s progress was halted in the second round.
