Men’s trio of Fadhil, Ridwan and Akmal fall short of podium


THE trio of Mohd Fadhil Zonis, Mohd Ridwan Sahrom and Mohd Akmal Nazimi Jusena came close to earning a second medal for Malaysia on the opening day of the track cycling competition at Izu Velodrome in Shizuoka.

The trio clocked 44.341s but lost to Hong Kong’s Mok Tsz Chun, To Cheuk Hei and Yung Tsun Ho (43.507s) in the bronze medal race.
