BANGKOK: Paris Olympian Nur Aisyah Zubir proved that she is an all-rounder in cycling.

The 28-year-old romped to a shock gold medal for Malaysia in the women’s scratch race final at Huamak Velodrome on Thursday (Dec 18).

Singapore’s Elizabeth Tan took silver ahead of Indonesia’s Ayustina Delia Priatna.

It is the second gold medal in track cycling after Mohd Ridwan Sahrom had won the men’s keirin final earlier.

The Terengganu rider had already shown her versatility on the road last week, bagging two silver medals in the road race and criterium events.
