Cycling’s quest for SEA Games gold remains on track despite Shah Firdaus’ absence

NILAI: The national track cycling squad’s gold medal hunt at the SEA Games in Thailand this December will remain on track despite the absence of top rider Mohd Shah Firdaus Sahrom, who has been sidelined following a recent surgery on his right knee.

National track cycling head coach Harnizam Basri said the squad’s main hopes are now placed on Shah Firdaus’ younger brother, Ridwan, Fadhil Mohd Zonis and Mohd Akmal Nazimi Jusena, to fuel the dream of winning gold in the men’s keirin and team sprint events.
