PETALING JAYA: Victory in Konya, Turkiye, on Saturday night certainly tasted sweet for Mohd Shah Firdaus Sahrom after he endured countless setbacks in his decade-long service with the national track cycling team.

The 29-year-old finally turned his dream into reality, clinching gold in the men’s keirin event at the UCI Track Nations Cup.
