PETALING JAYA: Rising track cyclist Nurul Izzah Izzati Mohd Asri received the perfect boost to her 2026 season aspirations when she was crowned the Best Sportswoman at the Malaysian University Sports Council (Masum) Awards for 2023-2024.

Also named the Best Sportsman was national weightlifter Aniq Kasdan, who finished fourth in his Paris Olympic debut two years ago.
