PETALING JAYA: Rider Nurul Izzah Izzati Mohd Asri will probably find herself on the saddle of a Malaysian-made bicycle when she makes a charge for glory at the Los Angeles Olympics in 2028.

There is a plan to equip the Malaysian track cycling team with high technology bikes like the previous two Olympic Games in Tokyo 2020 and Paris 2024 but the difference is that this time, the equipment will be manufactured at home.
