PETALING JAYA: Nurul Izzah Izzati Mohd Asri and Mohd Shah Firdaus Sahrom received timely morale boost to their respective bids to shine for Malaysia at the Asian Track Cycling Championships next month when both made it to the top 10 in the revamped elite track cycling world rankings.

Izzah, at 21 years of age, is the youngest cyclist in the elite women’s sprint rankings, which combines all the sprint individual disciplines – sprint, keirin and time trial.
