Track cyclist aiming to reach keirin final in world meet


More confident: Mohd Ridwan Sahrom wants to do what his brother Shah Firdaus hasn’t been able to – that is to qualify for the keirin final at the world championships.

KUALA LUMPUR: Rising star Mohd Ridwan Sahrom has a second chance to shine in individual events at the World Track Cycling Championships in Ballerup, Denmark next week.

Ridwan’s previous outings at the world meet saw him compete in the team sprint at the 2022 edition in France and in 2023, he made his debut in the keirin in Glasgow, Scotland.
