Paris-bound Shah Firdaus upbeat to fulfil his national duty after winning award


Impressive feat: Mohd Shah Firdaus bagged two bronze medals in sprint and keirin at the Hangzhou Asian Games last year.

PETALING JAYA: Track cyclist Mohd Shah Firdaus Sahrom received a big boost ahead of his final assignment before the Paris Olympics in August after he was crowned the Johor Sportsman of the Year.

The 28-year-old beat weightlifting champion Mohd Aniq Kasdan and national shuttler Ng Tze Yong to take the title at the Johor Sports Awards Night on Wednesday.
