De Kleijn pulls away for Stage 1 victory in stunning fashion


Yes, I did it: Arvid de Kleijn celebrates as he crosses the finish line to win Stage One of the Le Tour de Langkawi yesterday. And De Kleijn (centre, below pic) posing on the podium with others.

PETALING JAYA: It was double happiness for Arvid de Kleijn of Tudor Pro Cycling Team in Stage 1 of the Le Tour de Langkawi (LTdL) in Kerteh, Terengganu yesterday.

The 29-year-old Dutch cyclist completed the race of 187.4km in 4’25.38, ahead of Human Powered Health cyclist Sasha Weemaes and Astana Qazaqstan Team rider Gleb Syritsa, who came in second and third respectively.
