Men’s sprint trio third fastest among Asian teams in world meet

PETALING JAYA: Malaysia’s newly formed trio of Umar Hasbullah, Mohd Ridwan Sahrom and Mohd Fadhil Zonis showed they have what it takes to fight for the Asian Games podium after a creditable effort in the men’s team sprint qualifying at the World Track Cycling Championships in Glasgow last night.

The Malaysian trio posted 44.583s to place 14th fastest in qualifying on the opening day of competition at the world track meet in the Scottish city.
