Aiman pips top seed Zaqrul to national bowling title


PETALING JAYA: Selangor’s 19-year-old bowler Mohd Aiman Syahin Sulaiman edged top seed Megat Zaqrul Haikal Megat Zairudin of Penang in a tie-breaker to win the National Championships at Sunway Megalanes yesterday.

In a pulsating stepladder final, Aiman showed nerves of steel to take the first game 256-242. The deciding game ended 279–279, leading to a tiebreaker which Aiman prevailed 49-48.
