PETALING JAYA: National bowler Timmy Tan did not have the best of years with the national team last year, which saw his allowances from the National Sports Council (NSC) reduced.

But now with an IBF World Cup gold medal in his hand, the 30-year-old has started the year with a bang and hopes the tide will turn for him in terms of his bowling and also stature in the national team.
