PETALING JAYA: Aaron Chia-Soh Wooi Yik showed why they are still the national squad’s top men’s pair after beating compatriots Aaron Tai-Yap Roy King in the second round of the Denmark Open on Thursday (Oct 15).
The 2023 champions were tested early by Tai-Roy King, but their experience eventually prevailed as they pulled away for a 21-18, 21-11 win in 33 minutes to reach the quarter-finals.
They will next face either Japan’s Hiroki Okamura-Kyohei Yamashita or China’s Hu Keyuan-Lin Xianyi.
