PETALING JAYA: World No. 6 men’s doubles shuttler Tee Kai Wun is happy to see his partner Man Wei Chong settle down with his longtime partner.

For Kai Wun, he is not only happy to see Wei Chong starting a new family, but is also hoping his partner will make a speedy recovery from the right knee injury that has troubled him in recent months.

“Now that he is married, he has to take care of his family. I also hope his leg recovers quickly so we can get back to competing together again,” said Kai Wun.

Wei Chong tied the knot with Ai Ting on Wednesday.

The couple’s wedding reception was held at the Kuala Lumpur and Selangor Chinese Assembly Hall and was attended by several teammates from the national squad.

Wei Chong and Ai Ting got married about six months after getting engaged on Nov 26 last year.

The occasion could provide extra motivation for Wei Chong ahead of the Malaysian Masters from May 19-24, where he and Kai Wun will defend their title.

However, Wei Chong must first ensure his right knee is fully fit as he has been managing the injury since February.
