PETALING JAYA: Mixed doubles pair Chen Tang Jie-Toh Ee Wei were dealt a shock at the All-England after crashing out in the opening round on Tuesday (March 3).

Tang Jie-Ee Wei, who were seeded fourth, struggled against Denmark’s Rasmus Espersen-Amalie Kudsk.

The match went down to the wire as they attempted a fightback in the third game, but the rally fell short in a heartbreaking 21-18, 12-21, 23-25 defeat.

The same fate befell Hoo Pang Ron-Cheng Su Yin, whose All-England campaign also ended early following a 21-17, 21-19 loss to India’s Dhruv Kapila-Tanisha Crasto.
