Tang Jie-Ee Wei march into Australian Open semis


PETALING JAYA: Mixed doubles shuttlers Chen Tang Jie-Toh Ee Wei powered into the Australian Open semi-finals after beating Taiwan's Ye Hong-wei-Nicole Chan.

The reigning world champions were in dominant form and only needed 37 minutes to claim a 21-17, 21-15 victory at the Sydney Olympic Park on Friday (Nov 21).

Tang Jie-Ee Wei will now await the winners of the match between another Taiwanese duo, Yang Po-hsuan-Hu Ling-fang, and Thailand's Pakkapon Teeraratsakul-Sapsiree Taerattanachai.
