Pearly-Thinaah lift Japan Masters women's doubles crown

PETALING JAYA: World No. 2 women's doubles pair Pearly Tan-M. Thinaah have claimed the Japan Masters title after defeating home pair Rin Iwanaga-Kie Nakanishi 22-20, 21-19 in the final on Sunday (Nov 16).

It was a repeat of the Arctic Open final but this time, the contest was far closer as Pearly-Thinaah had to work hard before securing victory after a 54-minute battle.

This marks their third title of the year following their win at the Thailand Open in May and the sixth of their career.
