PETALING JAYA: The Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) are expected to announce the list of players for the SEA Games in Thailand this Saturday (Oct 18) in conjunction with the association’s Council Meeting.

BAM secretary-general Datuk Kenny Goh said the association needed more time to finalise the list but assured that the national squad would feature the country’s strongest line-up.

“I believe (the players’ list) will be released by this weekend at the latest as there are still a few things to consider, but I can say we’ll be sending our strongest squad.

“Most likely this Saturday (it will be announced), so just give us a bit more time,” said Kenny.

Earlier, hosts Thailand had already named their squad, led by world championship runner-up Kunlavut Vitidsarn and former world champion Ratchanok Intanon.
