Zii Jia falls as Malaysia bow out of US Open

PETALING JAYA: Malaysia's campaign at the US Open came to an end after Lee Zii Jia lost in straight-games to K. Srikanth of India in the second round on Thursday (June 25).

Playing at the Titan Gymnasium at California State University, Fullerton, Zii Jia struggled to find his rhythm and went down 14-21, 13-21.

It was also the end of the road for compatriot Cheam June Wei, who lost 15-21, 19-21 to Israel's Misha Zilberman.
