PETALING JAYA: Chinese men’s singles shuttler Shi Yuqi was in tears after ending his long wait for the world title in Paris.
World No. 1 Yuqi had to dig deep to overcome Thailand’s defending champion Kunlavut Vitidsarn 19-21, 21-10, 21-18 in a gripping 77-minute final at the Adidas Arena in Port de la Chapelle in Paris on Sunday (Aug 31).
