Women's doubles pair Pearly Tan-M. Thinaah

PETALING JAYA: It is as good as over for Pearly Tan-M. Thinaah in the World Tour Finals.

Pearly-Thinaah's hopes of making the semi-finals vanished after they went down 19-21, 19-21 to India's Treesa Jolly-Gayatri Gopichand in Hangzhou, China on Thursday (Dec 12).

It was their second defeat in Group A after losing to Japan's Nami Matsuyama-Chiharu Shida in the opening match on Wednesday.

Next, they will play home favourites Liu Shengshu-Tan Ning of China, who have already confirmed their semi-final tickets after winning two consecutive matches.
