PETALING JAYA: Men’s doubles duo Man Wei Chong-Tee Kai Wun continued their march at the Indonesian Open by reaching the semi-finals.

The Malaysians secured a 21-17, 18-21, 21-10 win against 25th ranked Lu Ching-yao-Yang Po-han in 56 minutes to achieve their best result of the year at the Istora Senayan Stadium in Jakarta on June 7 (Friday).

It is Wei Chong-Kai Wun's first semi-final appearance this year, following quarter-final finishes at the Swiss Open in March and Malaysian Masters last month.

They will play Sabar Karyaman-Moh Reza of Indonesia in the semi-finals.

It all over for Goh Sze Fei-Nur Izzuddin Rumsani after the duo lost 21-18, 18-21, 19-21 to second seeds Liang Weikeng-Wang Chang of China.

Earlier, women’s doubles pair Pearly Tan-M. Thinaah also exited after losing 20-22, 18-21 to world No. 1 duo Cheng Qingchen-Jia Yifan of China.
