PETALING JAYA: Independent mixed doubles pair Goh Soon Huat-Shevon Lai Jemie stormed into the final of the Swiss Open late Saturday (March 25).

World No. 11 Soon Huat-Shevon stayed steady to beat Holland's world No. 12 Robin Tabeling-Selena Piek 21-14, 23-21 in the last four in Basel.

It will be the Malaysian pair's second successive final in Basel after finishing as runners-up last year.

Soon Huat-Shevon will take on rising Chinese pair and world No. 33 Jiang Zhenbang-Wei Yaxin for the title on Sunday (March 26).

Meanwhile, it was heartbreak for independent men's singles player Lee Zii Jia after he went down 11-21, 14-21 to Japan's Koki Watanabe in a semi-final clash.
