Revenge is sweet for Eoon even after three years

PETALING JAYA: It took almost three years for Eoon Qi Xuan (pic) to finally put her World Junior championships disappointment behind her.

On Saturday, the 21-year-old exacted sweet revenge on Denmark’s Line Christophersen, the opponent who denied her of a medal in Markham, Canada, in 2018, with a 18-21, 21-18, 21-15 win in the Group D opener of Uber Cup Finals at the Ceres Arena in Aarhus, Denmark.
