Zii Jia eyes revenge and big scalp in Thomas Cup qualifiers

KUALA LUMPUR: It’s been a year since national No. 1 men singles shuttler Lee Zii Jia got the better of Taiwan’s Chou Tien-chen. And he is now mentally preparing himself to regain his winning ways against the more experienced world No. 2.

The 21-year-old Zii Jia last beat his rival at last year’s Indonesian Masters in a surprisingly one-sided affair. At the Chinese Taipei Open in 2018, Zii Jia also stunned the 30-year-old in his own backyard in a thrilling match that went to three games.
