Going the distance

Raring to go: Kristian Tung (left) will open his SEA Games campaign in the 5,000m on Saturday.

BANGKOK: National long-distance runner Kristian Tung knows that winning a medal in the 5,000m will be difficult in his debut SEA Games, but he believes the podium is within reach in the 10,000m.

“This is the most competitive SEA Games field ever, with top athletes,” said the 21-year-old, who is doing his degree in Sports Science and Mathematics at Loughborough University.
