Terengganu pair Saiful-Izzah break final jinx

Bullseye: Nurul Izzah Mazlan and Saiful Islam Mohd Rizuan celebrating their win in the mixed team recurve event.

THEY have been paired up since 2018, but reaching the final of archery’s mixed team recurve event was something they have never done – until now.

Terengganu’s Saiful Islam Mohd Rizuan and Nurul Izzah Mazlan not only managed it at the Malaysia Games (Sukma) but also stayed focused to win 6-2 and take home the gold medal against Pahang’s Haiqal Danish Syamsul Affandi and Nur Rafiqa Izzlyn Zaidi yesterday.
