Wide arc for long, straight shots


A wider swing arc is one of the simplest ways to hit the ball longer and straighter. When the clubhead travels on a broader arc, it covers more distance, giving it extra time to build speed. It also stays on the target line for longer, which improves accuracy.

A useful visual cue is Bryson DeChambeau. He creates width by reducing early wrist set, keeping the club extended away from his body. If you soften the wrist hinge, you naturally widen the arc. Experiment with this feeling, then reinforce it with these two drills:
