France provide lifeline for Malaysia by naming weaker Sudirman Cup squad


PETALING JAYA: Malaysia have an easier path to the quarter-finals of the Sudirman Cup from April 27-May 4 in Xiamen, China after group rivals France surprisingly decided to name a weakened team for the competition.

Men’s singles shuttler Leong Jun Hao and his teammates are set to take on France in the first Group C match on April 28 based on the schedule released by the Badminton World Federation (BWF) yesterday.
