THE Malaysia Care Strategic Framework and Action Plan 2026-2030 – launched by Women, Family and Community Development Minister in November last year – recognises that the country’s care ecosystem extends well beyond hospitals and includes childcare, eldercare, disability support and unpaid family care.
As hospitals concentrate on providing acute and specialised medical services, sustained care at home plays a greater role in ensuring stable recovery and quality of life. In this context, caregivers form a crucial link within the broader continuum of care.
