Poignant memory of a handshake  


TUN Dr Siti Hasmah Mohd Ali will be missed not only by her family but also by many Malaysians. The numerous tributes from people who knew her, many of whom are dignitaries and public figures, paint a picture of an extraordinary person. May I as an ordinary person share my little encounter with her.

My husband and I attended a musical in Kuala Lumpur where Tun Dr Mahathir and Dr Siti Hasmah were in the audience. After the show, people lined up to shake their hands as they made their way out.
