I REFER to the front-page report “Patients don’t need more pain” published by The Star (Nov 5, 2025), which tells a long and sad story of some cancer patients who, despite their traumatic sufferings, are caught in a quandary when insurers delay or deny approval for treatment, as claimed by a support group.
This report is not only timely. It is long overdue. I am sure there must be a considerable number of complaints over a period of time, and the situation is serious.
