Integrity and transparency key to combating corruption 


I REFER to the article “Realistic aim or pipe dream” (The Star, Oct 8) by M. Veera Pandiyan, who wrote about Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s plan to clean up all forms of power abuse and the “mess” caused by corruption within the next two to three years.

“Despite the strong rhetoric, there is too much public scepticism over the plan because of the stark reality – a constant lack of enforcement and accountability for decades,” the writer noted.
