Tamil schools are a legacy worth preserving

DEAR fellow English-speaking Indian parents, if you're considering sending your child to a Tamil school, I write this not with judgement, but with empathy and hope.

Many of us were raised in homes where English dominated our conversations. Our children consume English media, speak it fluently even at a young age, and often feel more at ease in that linguistic space. So when Tamil school enters the conversation, it can feel unfamiliar – even risky.
