I AM writing to share my recent experience visiting Wisma Putra’s Consular Division to obtain a Letter of Good Conduct. From start to finish, the journey and service I received were notably smooth and reassuring, reflecting the efficiency and professionalism of our civil service, particularly at the Consular Division.
My trip began with a surprisingly pleasant drive on the Maju Expressway (MEX). The traffic was exceptionally light, making the journey to Wisma Putra effortless and stress-free. This smooth transit set a positive tone for the entire visit. The only hiccup was finding a parking spot right at Wisma Putra, but it was a brief inconvenience that was quickly resolved.
Once inside, I was attended to by an officer who kindly arranged for a colleague fluent in English to assist me. This thoughtful gesture immediately put me at ease. The officer who helped me was a young woman in her late 20s whose warm and pleasant demeanour made the interaction very comfortable.
Her courteous and humble attitude was evident throughout our conversation, and she demonstrated a high level of professionalism that was truly commendable.
Her efficiency was matched by her genuine kindness, which made the entire process feel personal and respectful rather than routine.
It is rare to encounter such a blend of warmth and professionalism, and it certainly left a positive impression on me. I could only remember her name as Viviramday.
I would also like to extend my gratitude to Puan Betty from the Foreign Affairs Ministry’s Public Relations Department, who was equally kind and courteous. Her willingness to assist and her attentive approach further highlighted the exemplary service provided by Wisma Putra’s staff.
This experience has reinforced my appreciation for the civil service as a reliable and effective point of contact for resolving everyday matters swiftly. When government officers are as dedicated and approachable as those I met, it truly makes the process of handling official tasks easy and breezy.
My visit to Wisma Putra was not only successful in obtaining the Letter of Good Conduct but also a reminder of the professionalism and kindness that our civil servants embody.
Such experiences build confidence and trust in public institutions, and I hope more Malaysians will have similarly positive encounters.
