Industry ideas on supporting TVET in Malaysia


THE allocation in the 2025 Budget for developing the TVET (technical and vocational education and training) ecosystem is a positive sign of support from the government.

The total allocation was RM7.5bil, with priority given to three main objectives: to increase cooperation with industry; provide training opportunities for vulnerable youth including the urban poor, and marginalised, rural, and indigenous groups; and disseminate TVET services for the benefit of society.
