The Mitsubishi XForce is engineered for the realities of Malaysian roads

The XForce’s high ground clearance (222mm) helps the SUV navigate flooded roads, rough patches and uneven terrain safely.

IF you drive on Malaysian roads, you’ll know the journey rarely unfolds as planned.

One moment you are cruising along a highway under clear skies and scorching heat. The next, dark clouds roll in, rain lashes down, and flash floods are everywhere.

Add uneven backroads, sudden traffic bottlenecks and the daily rush between work, school runs and weekend errands, and driving often becomes a test of adaptability.

This is the reality that inspired the all-new Mitsubishi XForce. Rather than focusing purely on aesthetics, the compact SUV focuses on what Malaysian drivers need: confidence in the rain, resilience against unpredictable roads and comfort for the long hours spent behind the wheel.

Built to handle the unexpected

Malaysia’s tropical climate means drivers are no strangers to sudden downpours.

Roads become slick within minutes, trunk roads can turn into muddy tracks and gravel-covered off-track roads heading into interiors can make for an uncomfortable, bumpy ride.

The XForce’s four driving modes – Normal, Wet, Gravel and Mud – are built to weather these very situations.

Among them, the Wet Mode is especially relevant for those driving on city roads or along the stretches of Malaysia’s highways.

This mode enhances traction and stability when the roads are soaked, which keeps the car from sliding when the road is slippery.

For those who have to journey on smaller, unpaved roads, the Gravel and Mud modes come in handy, allowing wheels to spin to find grip on uneven terrain.

The XForce combines sleek looks with superior control, letting drivers choose from four driving modes.

Working alongside it is Active Yaw Control, a system that subtly adjusts braking force between the wheels.

The result is better grip and stability when navigating bends or slippery surfaces, giving drivers greater confidence when cornering during rainy days.

Flood-prone roads are an unfortunate reality in many parts of Malaysia. Even minor water build-up can pose challenges for lower vehicles.

With a high ground clearance of 222mm, the XForce stands noticeably taller than many SUVs in its class.

This added height allows the SUV to better navigate flooded streets, rough patches and uneven terrain without hesitation.

Safety for the everyday commute

Safety remains central to the XForce’s design philosophy, particularly for drivers who spend significant time on highways or busy urban roads.

The SUV comes equipped with Mitsubishi Motors Safety Sensing, a suite of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) designed to support the driver without feeling intrusive.

Features such as Forward Collision Mitigation, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Change Alert, Rear Cross Traffic Alert and Automatic High Beam work quietly in the background to enhance situational awareness.

For daily commuting, especially on long highway drives, these systems can also help reduce fatigue while improving overall safety.

Meanwhile, the All-Round Monitor, paired with front and rear sensors, provides added visibility when manoeuvring in tight parking spaces – an everyday challenge in busy urban areas.

Comfort and convenience

While the exterior is designed to tackle tough conditions, the interior of the XForce shifts the focus toward comfort and everyday convenience.

The cabin feels surprisingly spacious, thanks in part to the best-in-class rear seats with eight-step reclining adjustments.

This flexibility allows passengers to find their preferred seating angle, a welcoming feature during longer drives or traffic-heavy journeys.

The SUV also features a dual-zone air-conditioning system paired with nanoe X technology, helping to maintain a cool and refreshing cabin environment even during Malaysia’s humid afternoons.

And for drivers who appreciate small touches? The vehicle offers 23 storage compartments, including a centre cooler box where you can keep your drinks chilled during long drives or quick road trips with the whole family.

The XForce is known for its spacious interior, featuring eight-step reclining rear seats that let passengers tailor their seating for maximum comfort on every journey.

Technology that makes driving easier

When it comes to integrating technology with daily routines, the XForce doesn’t disappoint.

Taking centre stage is a 12.3-inch Display Audio system that supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, allowing drivers to access navigation, music and calls at a touch of a button.

The system is paired with Dynamic Sound Yamaha Premium, offering a richer and more immersive listening experience whether you’re hooked on a podcast during traffic jams, or listening to your favourite jam on a weekend drive.

Practicality continues at the rear, where a power tailgate with kick motion allows hands-free access to the boot, a useful feature when juggling grocery bags or luggage.

The XForce is built around the simple understanding that Malaysian drivers need vehicles that work reliably in real conditions.

With its high ground clearance, intelligent drive modes, practical interior design and thoughtful technology, the XForce offers a reassuring blend of capability and comfort.

Pre-launch offers

The strong response from Malaysian drivers has already seen the X-Force secure over 1,000 bookings within just a week of its pre-launch preview.

In response, Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia is extending its Early Bird package to the next 1,000 customers who place their bookings before its official launch in April.

Early buyers will enjoy a RM5,000 cash rebate, three free labour services and entry into a ‘Buy 1 Free 1’ contest, where one lucky customer stands a chance to win a Mitsubishi X-Force Ultimate.
