Combating drug abuse effectively


SELANGOR Ruler Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah recently expressed concern over the spike in the number of drug addicts in the country following the disclosure of statistics on drug abusers and addicts in Malaysia by the National Anti-Drugs Agency.

It showed a worrying increase of 31.6% in the number of drug addicts this year compared to 2023. The figures show that after four decades of waging war against drug abuse and addiction, we are not winning.
